Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame

2020/21 Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame Inductees (L-R)
Dr. Elmer Vruggink, Chief Kimberly Koster, Dr. Samuel Maluil

In partnership, Hudsonville Public Schools and the Hudsonville Education Foundation established the Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame to celebrate the achievements and talents of distinguished alumni.

The Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who have made exceptional achievements in their field, selflessly served Hudsonville Public Schools, or uniquely contributed to their communities locally, nationally, or globally. The selection of these individuals intends to recognize and encourage a tradition of excellence, achievement, commitment, and dedication.

The categories of recognition are:

  • Cultural/Performing Arts
  • Career/Military Accomplishments
  • Service to Hudsonville Public Schools/Community

Anyone can nominate a candidate for induction into the HPS Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame. No self-nominations, please.

New inductees will be selected and honored annually. Commemorative plaques are presented to the inductee at the annual Eagles of Excellence Gala. Recognition of the distinguished alumni is displayed at Hudsonville High School.

Nominees in the Cultural/Performing Arts, Career/Military Accomplishments, or Service to Hudsonville Public Schools/Community categories must have graduated from Hudsonville High School at least five years before nomination. Posthumous awards may be granted in all categories.

The Hudsonville Education Foundation Board of Directors will review each nomination and select inductees annually. There will be a limit to the number of inductees allowed per year.
