Through a grant from the HEF, Mrs. Theresa Heethuis was able to add Soft Start materials to her 2nd grade classroom at Alward Elementary. Soft Start materials include building blocks, Play Doh, mazes, puzzles, and more and allow students to warm up their brain, think creatively, and begin the school day at their own pace.
