Grants in Action

Over the last 20 years, the Foundation has invested tens of thousands of dollars directly into classrooms across the district through grants.

From basic learning tools to modern technologies, the Foundation financially supports educators in creating dynamic and engaging learning environments for all learners.

This vital work relies on the generosity of donors like you! With community support, the Foundation can continue to make a positive impact for generations of students.

2024/25 Grants In Action

The Hudsonville Education Foundation awarded Hudsonville Public Schools educators with $25,000 in grant awards for the 2024/2025 academic school year. Take a look at the grant awards below and follow along as we document the grants in action!

Solar Eclipse Binoculars
Mr. Chris Bolhuis, Hudsonville High School
$1,900

Thanks to Hudsonville Education Foundation donors, a teacher grant for $1,900 awarded to Mr. Chris Bolhuis, purchased thirty-six pairs of special high-powered, solar-specific sun-viewing binoculars for the students to share for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Read more about their trip, here

Opening in December of 2024, the Learning Lab at Hudsonville Public Schools Early Childhood Center provides the district's youngest learners with a designated indoor space to develop and practice classroom and life readiness skills through imaginative play. Donors imagined the possibility of this space with the Hudsonville Education Foundation and Early Childhood Center educators in April of 2024. Thanks to the generosity of supporters for this special Fund-A-Need grant project, $5,000 was raised to make the Learning Lab a reality. Hundreds of students will benefit from visiting the Eagles Mini Market, Sprinkle Swirl Ice Cream Truck, Playhouse Kitchen and Restaurant, Little Star Stage and Camp SOAR and Explore.
