HPS Payroll Deduction Giving

2024 - 2025 HPS Employee Payroll Deduction "My Why" Charitable Giving Campaign

The Hudsonville Education Foundation relies on philanthropic support from the entire community to support the education of students at Hudsonville Public Schools. We often hear the saying that "charity begins at home." That is completely true of our amazing HPS Eagle family.

This year we launched the "My Why" campaign to provide HPS employees the opportunity to give to a cause at the heart of our collective efforts - our students. It's easy, convenient, secure and impactful!

What's Your "Why"?

"I give a small dollar amount each pay period without feeling the effects, yet I can see hundreds of students benefiting from my donation. The Foundation allows my dollars to grow into high engagement and learning opportunities for students and support for teachers! I will continue to give!" Lois Atkins, MTSS Specialist

About the Payroll Deduction Program:

Employees of Hudsonville Public Schools have the option to make charitable contributions to the Hudsonville Education Foundation through the automatic payroll deduction program, direct contributions, and planned giving options.

By participating in the automatic payroll deduction program, employees can easily contribute to the Hudsonville Education Endowment Fund. This fund is held at the Community Foundation Holland/Zeeland and ensures that donations have a lasting impact on education, benefiting both current and future generations of students.

The designated amount is automatically deducted from the employee's bi-weekly paycheck, with a minimum of $1 per pay period. These contributions are deducted after payroll taxes and may be eligible for tax deductions as permitted by the IRS. Payroll deductions will continue until the payroll office is notified of any changes or termination.

What's Your "Why"?

"For just a couple of bucks a paycheck I have been able to support the Hudsonville Education Foundation. I love how the Foundation provides teacher grants. I have been a recipient of grants three times since its inception and I'm thankful for the support for teachers and students." - Brad Nederveld, South Elementary
