Career Achievements
Ken Goff graduated from Hudsonville High School in 1979. Mr. Goff earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Materials Science Engineering from Michigan State University in 1984. He is also the recipient of the Department of the Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Certificate.
Mr. Goff served as a civilian for the federal government at the United States Naval Air Command for 35 years. He worked in survivability and anti-tamper. Most notably, he worked on chemical coatings for the black hawks to make them ballistically tolerant. He reported to generals and traveled to many parts of the world. In a recent assignment, his work focused on one specific missile.
Mr. Goff currently serves as a Combat Survivability Subject Matter Expert at the United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM) in Tampa Florida. In this role, he researches and analyzes technologies to increase the survivability of several Special Operation Forces platforms. He also interfaces with government laboratories such as the Department of Defense program offices and industry partners such as SURVICE Engineering Co, a Department of Defense and Homeland Security contractor, to analyze and recommend survivability technologies.
Mr. Goff lives in Huntsville, Alabama with his wife of 32 years, Vonda. They have three children; Matt, Adam, and Meagan.
