Baldwin Street Middle School
With the assistance of a HEF grant, Mr. O’Rourke was able to provide a special experience in woodshop for a group of LINKS students at Baldwin Street Middle School. The LINKS program pairs general education students with special needs students, allowing them to learn from each other and form connections. Last April, these students celebrated the conclusion of their shared woodshop experience with a car show and a pinewood derby car race. The HEF grant purchased the cars and materials necessary to make the class and events a success.
