With the support of funding from HEF, our high school orchestra was able to commission a new music composition from Dr. Roger Zare, an international renowned composer. Through this project, students are able to interact with the composer, more deeply understand the piece, and appreciate the time and effort it takes to create a new composition. In addition, this piece will fit well with the interests and ability levels of the students, and HPS will have the rights and opportunity to perform this piece for years to come.
